The Healthiest Weight Florida initiative works closely with partners to leverage existing resources to maximize reach and impact. These partners include the business community, hospitals, non-governmental organizations, non-profit agencies, other federal, state, or local government agencies, and volunteer coalitions. The overall goal is to bend the weight curve by 5% by 2017.
The Healthy Pinellas Consortium has a goal to convene, connect and communicate through partnerships that leverage resources to establish healthy communities and programs through policy, environment and system changes. The purpose of the Healthy Pinellas Consortium is to encourage Pinellas’ children and adults to choose active living and healthy eating for a healthier future.
National Wellness Institute serves the professionals and organizations that promote optimal health and wellness in individuals and communities.
Partners in Obesity Prevention (POP) is a coalition of individuals and organizations from a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Collectively and collaboratively, this groups shares resources, best practices, strategies, and promotes supportive policy changes aimed at empowering our community members to enjoy a lifetime of wellness with a focus on reducing and preventing chronic diseases through obesity prevention.
