An Immersive Experience!

Thursday, Apr 22, 2021

10:00am – 12:30pm

Did you know that health equity impacts your business no matter what sector you are in? People of color and low-income individuals are 1.5 to 2 times more likely to struggle with chronic disease than white individuals. Employees who miss work because of poor health create significant costs to employers above and beyond medical spending. These health-related productivity losses cost $1,685 per employee per year. But you can increase productivity and reduce losses by addressing health equity in your workplace. Discover how at Healthy Tampa Bay: Healthier Today than Yesterday awareness and networking summit.

At the summit you will:

-Learn what health equity is, how it’s costing you, and what you can do to remove the barriers that create inequities in the workplace
-Leave with practical strategies you can use to eliminate health inequities in the workplace
-Network with professionals representing multiple sectors in Tampa Bay

Working together to address these issues, we save time, money, and help improve health and the economy. The TBHC member-driven Awareness Impact Council has partnered with USF College of Public Health to host this experience for our community. Join us in collaborating to reach the highest peak of health equity.
