“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” The Volunteers for Health Committee of the Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative works to expand, retain and recognize volunteers within health related and/or health-serving organizations.
Goals
- Provide resources to share/post volunteer opportunities
- Promote training opportunities and best practices for staff and volunteers within organizations and volunteer management.
- Recognize outstanding service achievements by volunteers in health related and/or health-serving organizations.
- Increase committee membership, participation and diversity.

Everyday Thousands of People in Tampa Bay Volunteer!
In honor of the volunteers who positively impact our community, the Volunteers For Health Committee has launched a Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation Award. Quarterly, one volunteer will be selected from both Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties for their contributions to the field of healthcare in the Tampa Bay area. These awards will recognize those whose lives have an impact on the quality and/or availability of health services locally, thus improving the quality of life for those in our community.

VfH Recognition Awards Nomination Form
The Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative (TBHC) is seeking nominations for its 2014 Volunteers for Health Recognition Awards. The awards will recognize individual volunteers who have made a significant impact on the quality and availability of healthcare in the Tampa Bay Area through volunteering. One individual from Hillsborough County and one individual from Pinellas County will be honored for their outstanding contributions as a volunteer in the field of healthcare/community health. In addition, one youth volunteer (under 18 years of age) from throughout the Tampa Bay area will also be honored and recognized (be sure to note the volunteer’s age in the space provided below).
