Who We Are
TBHC is a member-driven organization designed to share resources and coordinate efforts that promote healthier communities in the Tampa Bay region. Our members are agencies working to support healthy communities.
How We Started
TBHC formed out of a series of discussions among current and former representatives from agencies that had or were being funded through Allegany Franciscan Foundation Tampa Bay, Inc. As this process took shape, many key points were identified, including:
Tampa Bay is a collection of unique communities with a growing regional presence in social and economic activities.
Collaboration among organizations is both an art and science that requires deliberate planning, structured support, and personal commitment.
In a time of changing funding patterns, outcome-driven work, and limited resources, shared knowledge and action through collaborative efforts is critical to agency success.
Our Vision
A community that values health and health services for everyone.
Our Mission
To promote health, wellness, and safety of individuals in our community through coordinating existing resources and promoting increased access to healthcare.
Our Focus
The Collaborative is focused on activities that increase options for poor, marginalized, and disenfranchised populations. The collaborative works to remove social, racial, economic, and systemic barriers to healthcare services for the uninsured and underserved.
