Refugees are individuals and families who have fled their country because of a well founded fear of persecution for reasons of:
• Race
• Religion
• Membership in a particular social group
• Political opinion
• Nationality
A refugee cannot return home and either lives in a refugee camp or is permanently
resettled in a country such as the United States.
