JUMP & SPIN on August 1st

Join us for the next Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative (TBHC) Quarterly Membership Meeting on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Collaborative Labs@ St. Petersburg College located at 13805 58^th Street N, Largo, FL. Click here for directions. During this meeting we will give attention to two of our focus areas: capacity building and strategic partnerships. Quarterly meetings provide a great way to network, learn about other local organizations and acquire new resources. You do not need to be a TBHC member to attend this meeting.

The meeting will include:

JUMP (Journey to Unlocking Management Potential) Capacity Building Initiative Information Session from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM. This one-hour session will provide a program overview and details about applying for JUMP Cohort 4 beginning this fall.
2^nd Annual SPIN (Strategic Partnerships and Interagency Networking) Mixer from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon. This unique event will enable organizations to learn more about each other, develop a better understanding of services provided within the community, and explore partnerships opportunities.

Hard Work Pays Off

The TBHC Committees have been working hard this year and it has paid off! The Advocacy Committee developed legislative priorities and monitored the 2013 Florida Legislative Session. The Health Equity Committee hosted a Quarterly Meeting and is gearing up for another project. The Volunteers for Health Committee had their largest number of nominations yet for the VfH Recognition Award Program. The Wellness Committee just hosted their first conference in conjunction with the Wellness Council of Tampa Bay. No committees will meet during the month of July (except Health Equity who took their break in June) but be sure to mark your calendars for the August meetings.

This cycle, the Volunteers for Health (VfH) Committee introduced a new catergory: Youth Volunteers! The Youth Nominees were Neil Kamath, James A. Haley Veterans Administration Hospital and Christine Solazzo, Suncoast Hospice Teen Volunteer Program.
