Join us on April 13, 2018 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County (located at 1002 E. Palm Ave inTampa) for Building Skills to Achieve Health Equity – An Interactive Data Workshop. Meeting participants will gain skills and receive tools and resources to help garner support for applying a health equity lens.
This session will be presented by Claudia Aguado Loi, PhD, visiting Assistant Professor, Health Science and Human Performance at the University of Tampa. Dr. Aguado Loi will share practical examples of how and why organizations should systematically collect and utilize data with a purpose. Attendees will learn to effectively develop survey instruments and structure questions to conduct interviews and focus groups.
Participants will also have a chance to create a process evaluation plan for their organization, practice acquired skills through mock sessions, work in small groups, and explore various types of data. This is a bring-your-own-lunch event; snacks and beverages will be provided.
You do not have to be a TBHC member to attend. We encourage you to share this invitation with colleagues and others who may be interested.
