TBHC Building Capacity Impact Council Monthly Meeting

Tuesday, Jan 26, 2021

1:30pm – 2:30pm

YOU are the Collaborative, so YOUR voice is needed.”

This is what we said when we invited TBHC members and connectors to the “Designing the Building Capacity Impact Council” meeting in April. Many answered the call. Each group collaborated in a co-working space to co-create goals, success measures and ways to celebrate when we reach our goals. Each council is mission-aligned and designed to have impact toward the realization of our vision.

If you are ready to take action, and the following missions and goals of the council resonates with you, then register to attend the monthly meeting.

Building Capacity Impact Council High Level Summary:
Offer digital health-equity related capacity-building opportunities  based on our members’ needs

Mission Element:
Build capacity of members to enhance their ability toward impacting health equity.

Goals:

Currently, capacity-building opportunities focus on in-person experiences, but the threat of future uncertainty demonstrates the need for structured online learning that addresses health equity. Because of this, TBHC aims to provide consistent capacity-building opportunities by offering in-person and online development that enhances members’ ability toward impacting health equity in our community.  Therefore, by July 2023 TBHC will have six signature capacity-building opportunities that have been designed, delivered, evaluated and refined based on our members’ development needs. We aim to realize this goal by accomplishing the following:

  • By June 30, 2021 the Building Capacity Impact Council will facilitate the design and delivery of one in-person and one online capacity building opportunity to improve participants’ ability to advocate for health equity (at work or in their community).

  • By June 30, 2022 the Building Capacity Impact Council will facilitate the design and delivery of one in-person and one online capacity building opportunity aimed at private organizations to improve participants’ ability to advocate for health equity (at work or in their community).

  • By June 30, 2023 the Building Capacity Impact Council will facilitate the design and delivery of one in-person and one online capacity building opportunity aimed at public organizations to improve participants’ ability to advocate for health equity (at work or in their community).
