PLANTING THE SEEDS OF WELLNESS
~Addressing health equity from the ground up~
Nearly 1 in 6 Tampa Bay residents live with daily hunger and many others do not have access to fresh and healthy foods, despite the well-known benefits. Addressing the issues of hunger and equity requires advancing healthy food systems, promoting soil fertility, and nutrition.
This quarterly meeting will include a panel of experts and community members to discuss the importance of food systems in generating and exacerbating health disparities in the Tampa Bay region and recommend strategies for improving access to healthy, wholesome food for our residents.
Event Registration required*.
Coffee and water will be provided at the start of the meeting. A light lunch will be provided following the meeting to help demonstrate how to eat healthy. The lunch will be: Local, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan and Organic.
