Awareness Impact Council

YOU are the Collaborative, so YOUR voice is needed.” This is what we said when we invited TBHC members and connectors to the “Designing the Awareness Impact Council” meeting in April 2020. Many answered the call. Each group collaborated in a co-working space to co-create goals, success measures and ways to celebrate when we reach our goals. Each council is mission-aligned and designed to have impact toward the realization of our vision. Awareness Impact Council High Level Summary: Through increasing awareness about the challenges of health equity, we aim to spark the energy among business, political, and community leaders to create the changes that remove the barriers to health equity in Tampa Bay.

Mission Element: The Awareness Impact Council is focused on increasing awareness among non-traditional stakeholders of the importance of health equity in order to expand our influence.

Meeting Information

The committee meets the 4th Wednesday of each month from 10:00AM – 11:00AM via Zoom.

Goals

Currently, the complexity of health equity and the stigma associated with its presence in our society has limited the type of organizations that have traditionally become members of TBHC. Because of this, TBHC aims to increase awareness about the importance of health equity among organizations that are not typically members and convert their awareness into membership in order to expand our influence for removing barriers to health equity. Therefore, by July 2023 TBHC would have expanded membership by 20% to have a tri-sector membership base. We aim to realize this goal by accomplishing the following:

  • By June 30, 2021 the Awareness Impact Council will conduct a gap-analysis to identify 100 public and private organizations who have a values-alignment with the Collaborative.
  • By June 30, 2022 the Awareness Impact Council will increase membership by 10% with private organizations using a values-alignment marketing campaign.
  • By June 30, 2023 the Awareness Impact Council will increase membership by 10% with public organizations using a values-alignment marketing campaign.
