2017 Hillsborough County Disaster Planning Guide was developed to provide preparedness information for a variety of hazards that impact the residents of Tampa Bay: hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, hazardous materials, and terrorism. The guides contain hurricane evacuation zone maps for the coastal counties in the Tampa Bay area. The 2017 Hillsborough County Disaster Planning Guide is also available in Spanish.

 

Pinellas County Emergency Management – The Department of Emergency Management provides “the framework and mechanism for disaster response and recovery for the entire County.” This resources provides a wealth of information for Pinellas residents to survive the storm including Know Your Evacuation Zone, Preparation Checklists,  Preparation for individuals with Special Needs, Shelter Options, how to prepare for the storm, and recovery after the storm.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.

 

The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council is an association of local governments and gubernatorial representatives whose mission is to serve our citizens and member governments by providing a forum to foster communication, coordination, and collaboration in identifying and addressing issues and needs regionally.  Check out hurricane guides and other resources.
